Paula started singing with the Mystic Chorale in the fall of 2010.  She’s “a strong believer that volunteering adds to the quality of life. It’s like singing in a big group. The more you give of yourself, the better you feel.”

She’s held many positions since her first season. In April of 2014 she joined the board and took over as chair of Fundraising. She served as Board Secretary from 2018-2021.

Away from Mystic she volunteers with the local South Sudanese community (www.ssefboston.org), supporting them in getting their citizenship, drivers license and high school equivalency. She has taken under her wing an Arlington family from South Sudan to support them in finding their way through life.

She’s learning to play the djembe (West African drum) and loves her Red Sox and Patriots.
