Sing with the Mystic Chorale in Scotland this Summer!

Messages from our leaders:

The repertoire will be from this spring’s season so all tour members must sing live with us. Some of the songs like Arise Arise and Glory Hallelujah were part of the spring 2020 season via Zoom. In addition Donnell will be teaching two Gospel songs that we will sing in the spring and then take to Scotland. There will be summer rehearsals during which Donnell may teach additional songs.

I am always excited to travel, but to have this new opportunity to travel with the Mystic Chorale to a place I’ve never been marks a high point amongst my musical journeys! While touring and performing domestically are contrasting experiences, I anticipate a good time, wonderful music making and unforgettable memories! Thank you to Nick, the Board and the Membership for this invitation and awesome opportunity.

TOUR DETAILS

WHEN: Aug. 7th-15th, 2022

TRAVEL: Round trip flights Boston-Scotland; Private motor coach locally in Scotland

LUGGAGE: One checked bag and one personal item included.

ACCOMMODATIONS: Double occupancy hotel rooms (roommates can be arranged at an early spring season rehearsal)

SUPPORT: Mystic Tour Coordinator; Full time Tour Manager throughout tour; Local Guides for sightseeing

WHERE: Edinburgh, Inverness, & Glasgow

CONCERTS:
– Formal and informal opportunities to sing under Donnell Patterson’s direction!
– Performance at the Fringe Festival’s 75th Anniversary in Edinburgh Festival!
– Concerts with local choirs in Inverness and Glasgow!

ACTIVITIES *details subject to change:

• Edinburgh – Stirling Castle; Hiking; Old Town Royal Mile; New Town; Fringe Festival performance; Free day to explore Fringe
• Inverness – Castle tour; Falls of Foyers; Loch Ness Cruise; Urquhart Castle; Inverness Cathedral; Performance
• Glasgow – Glencoe hike; Walking tour of city; Free time in city & option to explore museums; Performance
• Headsets included during sightseeing tours

MEALS: Breakfast + one meal daily (lunch or dinner, including final evening farewell dinner celebration)

COST: $3289 (*the same cost as it was for anyone who registered in 2019!)

PAYMENTS: $2,500 with online registration due on March 4th
Balance due May 1st

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• first $300 completely non-refundable
• optional insurance premiums completely non-refundable
• 1st week of May: 40% of cost non-refundable
• 1st week of June: 50% of cost non-refundable
• After the 1st week of June: 100% of cost non-refundable

OPTIONS

• Land only fee ($700 less – you make your own flight arrangements & MUST be at Glasgow airport prior to Mystic arriving in order to get on the coach; or make your own arrangements to meet the group in Edinburgh)
• Flight deviation ($200 fee plus any additional airline cost for alternate flight arrangements. Tour company will work with you to make arrangements.)
• Single room supplement ($490 additional, pending availability)
• Health & Travel Insurance Plans available (including CFAR Cancel For Any Reason policy for NEW REGISTRANTS only) *Insurance policies must be purchased at the time of tour registration.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE: Singers must participate in both the Spring 2022 Season, and be available for 4 Tuesday Summer rehearsals.

REHEARSALS: Spring Season rehearsals, including Scotland-only time at the end of some rehearsals; and 4 required Tuesday rehearsals on June 21st & 28th and July 19th & 26th, 2022.

• Singers selected to participate will be contacted by March 1st
• $2,500 payment due with online registration on March 4th
• $789 balance payment due May 1st
• Register and sing in this Spring Mystic Chorale Season 2022 (Registration opens March 1)
• Participate in 4 Tuesday Summer rehearsals: June 21st & 28th and July 19th & 26th
• Must be fully vaccinated & boosted
