Spring 2015

A Tribute to Pete Seeger

Led by Nick Page

Pete Seeger taught us that our voices matter, that each of us can change the world. The 200 voices of The Mystic Chorale begin our tribute with songs that inspired Pete Seeger – songs by Woody Guthrie, Leadbelly, and more. Then special guest Bill Staines leads us in Seeger classics like “Where Have All The Flowers Gone.” Lastly, we’ll bring the folk process full cycle with songs influenced by Seeger like Bob Dylan’s “Forever Young” and a new Pat Humphries tribute to Pete Seeger, “Sing People Sing.” The concert comes to a rousing close with Bill Staines leading his powerful songs like “All God’s Critters Got a Place In The Choir” and “River.”
