Come join the celebration of the 30th anniversary of one of the Boston area’s most popular community choruses, the Mystic Chorale. Led by Mystic Founder and Artistic Director, Nick Page, more than 200 members raise their voices in GLORY!
As a culmination of thirty amazing years of rising from the ordinary to the extraordinary, of joining in compassionate community, and of connecting individual stories through song, the Mystic Chorale celebrates one simple unifying story: When we sing, we become glorious.
The exciting and varied program includes Nick Page’s We Pray as well as Lonesome Valley and the rousing Pass Me Not, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, the haunting Israeli Éli Éli, and Lift Every Voice, arranged and led by Donnell Patterson. Beautiful new songs include Jean Rohe’s Arise! Arise! and The Tide Is Rising by former Mystic singer Rabbi Shoshana Meira Friedman. A small chorus will be singing Nick Page’s Magnified in Glory. And in honor of this 30thAnniversary, Glorious!, a new piece written by Nick Page for the occasion will be premiered.
Mystic Chorale’s band features the great Jonathan Singleton and Donnell Patterson on keyboards as well as Louise Grasmere on vocals. The grand finale reprises Every Day Is A Day Of Thanksgiving, with dozens of Mystic alumni joining the chorus on stage, filling the hall with the glory of more than 300 voices accompanied by an eight-piece band.
