Mabel is a life-long choral singer, starting in junior high with only a short break for graduate school. She and her husband (tenor Bob Leigh) learned about Mystic through a neighbor; they attended a few concerts and thought it looked like fun. They joined in Fall of 2009. In true Mystic spirit, Mabel began volunteering immediately, helping with wiring for sound at her first concert. She is the Membership Chair of the Mystic board, and oversees a number of activities: the Buddy Program and Eat Meet & Greet. Mabel describes herself as a “software engineer turned gardener” but still keeps her hand in the software world. She continues to find Mystic full of fun, community and great music.
