Richard was introduced to the magic of Mystic when he attended a concert in 2009, and has been a member ever since. He has welcomed scores of new singers over the years as host of Mystic’s New Singer Receptions (for which he provides wonderful snacks) as well as helping with the Buddy Program. He has been instrumental in extensively scouting performance venues and assisting the stage managers with concert preparations: he handles everything from stage design to coordination with public safety officials. His professional background is as an architect: he worked for the state Division of Capital Planning and Operations and later the Massachusetts Trial Court before retiring. He is a lifelong Salem resident.
