Dr. Ysaye Barnwell and our Boston area South African friends return for a triumphant concert of defiance and hope.  We will celebrate the common ground between America’s and South Africa’s fight for racial and economic justice.  These songs of fire, from both the past and the present day, shout to us in these troubling days.

We will sing the contemporary South African song FROM THE ASHES OF THE FIRE, which proclaims, “From the ashes of the fire, the phoenix will arise.”  With this and songs taught by Ysaye Barnwell and our South African guests, we will have an explosive celebration!
